Rad Dad Lager Fest

Is your dad “rad?” If so, he’s sure to enjoy the Rad Dad Lager Fest at Craft Pride. This is the spot’s inaugural Father’s Day lager celebration, and there’s sure to be bountiful craft beers to imbibe. Bands will be jamming away to set the mood; the lineup includes such elegantly named ensembles as The Feral Four, Oscar Ornelas, and Big Britches.

There’s also going to be a Dad Joke competition, with a judges panel consisting of beer industry dads. If you think you have what it takes to tickle these fathers’ collective sense of humor, you can contact Craft Pride to register. There’s even said to be a grand prize for the victor.

AACA Annual Free Father’s Day Antique Car Show & Acoustic Bluegrass Music Jam

• Where? HHSC Winters Building, 701 West 51^st Street, Austin TX
• When? Sunday, June 16^th from 10 am until 2 pm

As car people, we have to include this one. And bluegrass isn’t too bad either. The free antique car show usually boasts over 300 cars on site. Musicians at all levels of skill are invited to bring their instruments and jam out. Between the vehicles and the bluegrass, there’s sure to arise some unique vibes.

Food trucks will be on site to keep y’all fed, and the Triangle restaurants are within walking distance. Come be part of a unique tradition that has been going down annually for over fifteen years.

Father’s Day Sunday Satsang at Radha Madhav Dham

• Where? Radha Madhav Dham, 400 Barsana Road, Austin TX
• When? Sunday, June 16^th from 11 am until 1 pm

This event is an opportunity for a unique cultural experience for many of us. At the Father’s Day Sunday Satsang, kids are invited to surprise and honor their dads with an essay, poem, or just a few lines of appreciation. The tributes will be read out at 12:30 pm during the service. There will also be the chance to learn about who members of the Hindu religion consider to be their Heavenly Father, Lord Krishna.

Outside the service, guests can enjoy the beautiful temple gardens. Dad and family can take pictures among the peaceful plants. This could be a unique and perspective-broadening way to spend Father’s Day.
