What are the best places to park for Austin Oktoberfest?

The Austin Oktoberfest (or AustOberfest) on September 30, 2017, promises to be a great event filled with food, drinks, German dancing and music, and plenty of beer steins. However, in order to enjoy the event, you’re going to have to get to it. What are the best places to park for Austin Oktoberfest? We have a few ideas for you below.
The 5th Annual AustOberfest will be held at Austin Saengerrunde, a huge hall that is also a historical location for the city of Austin. Price of admission includes unlimited German sausage tasting and sides, beer tastings, and a commemorative glass and hat pin. Live music and bowling add a little extra fun.
Meters and Street Parking
The streets surrounding the Austin Saengerrunde offer plenty of street parking. Some is metered, but there are non-metered options if you arrive early enough to grab one for your vehicle.
Parking Garage Options
If the street parking is taken, there is a state parking garage across the street from the AustOberfest location. While this parking garage is sometimes free on weekends, it usually charges a fee.
Public Transportation
If you would rather not drive to the Austin Oktoberfest celebration, the 7, 10, 20, 37, 100, 103, 110, 111, 127, 142, 171, 464, 935 and 985 bus routes should get you within a couple blocks.

Choose a Designated Driver or Choose a Service
If you plan to enjoy the Austin Oktoberfest in moderation, or just have fun, it could be good to drive, but if you plan to take advantages of the beer tastings please drink responsible and never drive while intoxicated. Taxis or an online ride service should also be running during the event to help get you home safely.
