Celebrate German Heritage with Oktoberfest All Fall!

Whether or not you have a drop of German blood in your veins, fall Oktoberfest celebrations are a great time to indulge. You can go for the beer, the sausage, the dancing, the music, or just to learn a little more about German culture and these Oktoberfest festivals 2018 in Austin TX are a great time. Celebrations in our area will be running from September all the way to November, so you have plenty of time to check them out!
AustOberfest – Austin TX
September 29, 2018 (Saturday only, 5-11 p.m.)
The one-day Austin Oktoberfest (also called the Austin Saengerrunde) will feature beer, bands, a sumptuous sausage selection and more. Cost is $50 which includes specialty glasswear, a pin, drinks tickets (21+ required for alcohol), sausage tastings, and entertainment. Children under 13 get in FREE.
Oktoberfest – Fredericksburg TX
October 5-7, 2018 (Friday-Sunday)
Admission for the Fredericksburg Oktoberfest weekend is $8 for adults, $1 per child for ages 7-12, and free for kids 6 and under! Live entertainment will run all day, with a variety of food and beverages available for purchase. Hours are 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
German-Texan Heritage Society Oktoberfest
October 13, 2018 (Saturday only, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
Not a lot of info is available yet for this one-day Oktoberfest held at the Austin German Free School (Building 507 E 10th Street), but the date is confirmed! Last year’s admission fee was $10 for adults, and free for ages 12 and under. Live entertainment and children’s activities are included with beer and food available to purchase.
Wurstfest – New Braunfels, TX
November 2-11,2018 (Friday through the following Sunday)
Wurstfest in New Braunfels TX is the best fest for sausage lovers! This ten-day festival offers a huge selection of goodies and entertainment great for the whole family. We believe that tickets will be $10 at the gate, but you may be able to take advantage of special day pricing and buy-one-get-one offers. Drink tickets can be purchased in advance, but you can use cash for food options. Ages 12 and under get in free, and several days offer free admission during select times.
