Looking for something fun to do this October? This selection of Halloween events 2017 for kids and parents in Austin TX may offer exactly what you are looking for. From one-shot events to opportunities that happen all month, one of the events below is bound to pique your interest this holiday.

Boo at the Zoo – Fridays and Saturdays in October from 6:30-9 p.m.

Features a Haunted Train, Haunted House and great decorations at the Austin Zoo. Ticket are limited, and cost $17.50. Costumes are encouraged, though adults should not wear masks.

Halloween Family Crafts – Oct. 19 from 2- 6 p.m.

For $10 per family, enjoy crafts, snacks and music at the Gardner Chiropractic Family & Wellness Center in Round Rock TX (where the Third Coast Auto Group has a dealership location!)

Bullock Museum Spooktacular – Oct. 28 from 5-8 p.m.

This FREE event features music, learning all about bones, creating a glow-in-the-dark t-shirt, learning about the La Belle shipwreck, and a movie. We don’t think that any registration is required.

Austin Steam Train Express – Oct. 28 (10 a.m.) and 29 (10 a.m., 2:30 p.m.)

If your child loves trains one of the Halloween-themed Austin Steam Train excursions is perfect! The Hill Country Flyer – Halloween Express on Oct. 28 and the Pumpkin Express with two runs on Oct. 29 are both family-friendly train adventures that embrace the season! There are also Murder Mystery – Zombie Train adventures for adults.

Mummy and Me Halloween Bash – Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Imagine That Art Space is hosting this event which will offer art, games, sensory activities, snacks, and a photo booth. Cost is $15 for ages 0-6. Adults are free with children, and those younger than six months are also free.

Halloween Spelltacular – Oct. 26 from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

This event in Palm Park includes the movie Hocus Pocus starting at twilight, a pre-movie dance party, games, a photo booth, and a food truck courtyard. Cost is $20 for adults and $5 for children ages 4-17. Ages 3 and under are free.[/bscolumns]
