Have fun this Independence Day on a budget

While there are many events, concerts and celebrations that you can go to in Travis County that have a fee, there are also several festivals that will be available for the holiday that offer great music and fireworks with free admission. This blog features a few free 4th of July events 2018 around Austin TX that are great for the whole family. All events are on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 and have no cost for entry. Food and beverages, games, and parking may be extra.
Free 4th of July Events 2018 around Austin TX
H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4 Concert & Fireworks – Austin TX
Where: Vic Mathias Shores – 900 W Riverside Drive (Austin)
When: 8:30 Concert, Fireworks to follow (approximately 9:30 p.m.)
Details: Bring a picnic basket and a blanket for this can’t-miss outdoor Independence Day event. The Austin Symphony Orchestra will perform, and it should be a wonderful night full of patriotic music and fireworks.
July 4th Independence Day Celebration – Bee Cave TX
Where: Hill Country Galleria – 12700 Hill Country Boulevard (Bee Cave)
When: 4-9 p.m., fireworks at 9:15ish
Details: Enjoy shops, games, obstacle courses, face painting and more. Fireworks will be sent off from the northwest end of the Central Plaza after dark (bring your chairs or blankets!), and live music will be running starting at 6 p.m until fireworks.
Pfirecracker Pfestival – Pflugerville, TX
Where: The Pfield – 1440 W. Pecan Street (Pflugerville)
When: 5-9:30 p.m.
Details: Food truck vendors, live music, kids areas, and an Independence Day Ceremony at 8:50 p.m. will be at the Stadium, with fireworks sometimes after 9 p.m. No alcohol, coolers, tobacco, or umbrellas will be allowed in the stadium and all bags and water bottles must be clear. (Complimentary bags will be available before you go in).
July Fourth Frontier Days Celebration – Round Rock TX
Where: Old Settlers Park – 3300 E. Palm Valley Boulevard (Round Rock)
When: 9 a.m. (with parade staging) to 11 p.m.
Details: This event will feature the Sertoma July 4th Parade, fireworks (at dark), carnival rides, children’s games, a Sam Bass Shootout, Movies in the Park (The Last Jedi), skydivers and even a jalapeno eating contest.
Liberty Fest – Leander TX
Where: Enter from San Gabriel Parkway or 183A Frontage (Leander)
When: Gates open 3 p.m., fireworks at 9:10 p.m.
Details: Live music, craft venders, children’s activities, and fireworks will happen at this fest. Paradox Color Guard will perform at 4:25 p.m.
